I'm on holidays!

I took a few paid holidays in addition to my usual New Year holidays so I don't have to work Christmas. And Boxing Day. Maybe I'll go to an island or something.

Go ahead, try and work out the name of the island. One clue. It's mentioned in this email. Not by name, that would be to easy. Get a map, search around. Too hard?

Once I get back, I'll post all about my trip. Beaches... that's another hint. River... that's another.

Initially I thought about spending Christmas on Ishigaki... but I did that for my birthday. Since there are plenty of islands to the south of the Japanese mainland, I have a wide choice of destinations.

Brr it's getting cold these days. Anyway, cold for me - in the low 20s, and lots of cold breezes. Not quite a white christmas, but maybe a cold one.
